Lydney Park is a traditionally run seventeenth-century estate and is home to the Viscount Bledisloe and his family.
The main house is set in a glorious deer park overlooking the Severn Estuary, at the Southern corner of The Royal Forest of Dean. Built in 1876 by C H Howell in high Victorian Scottish baronial style, it provides an elegant and romantic setting for weddings between April and September.
A clear sided or walled marquee can be placed directly onto the lawn next to the main house, and can accommodate up to 130 guests. The reception can be held within the main hall, which opens both onto the formal library and a stunning ballroom, a beautiful fusion of Victorian and contemporary design, with breathtaking views of the river, which provides plenty of room for guests to have a stylish reception upon arrival.
For a larger wedding, a more traditional marquee can be erected within the stunning deer park, with dramatic views up to the mansion on the hill, seating up to 250 people.
Lydney Park also has its own stunning Spring Rhododendron Garden surrounding a series of lakes and waterfalls in a private valley, available as a beautiful backdrop for ceremonies, drinks parties and photographs.
A grand bridal suite within the mansion is available from 9am, to get ready in privacy and style.
